Buenos Aires, Feb 2 (NA) – Classes at TUMO, the educational program of Armenian origin recently launched by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, begin today at the Metropolitan Center of Design (CMD). Authorities confirmed that for the coming months of 2026, new branches will be added. TUMO is an innovative experience that combines technology and design. Since 2025, it has been developing in the Federal Capital, and this year there are already thousands of registered students who return to classes this Monday, February 2, at the headquarters of the Metropolitan Center of Design (CMD), in Barracas. It is also expected that the educational program will continue its expansion, as in April it will begin to operate its headquarters in the Innovation Park, in Núñez, and in mid-year the one in Chacarita, according to confirmed to the Argentine News Agency. TUMO courses consist of two or three levels, with a total of eight sessions, each two hours long. Students can choose 3 of the 8 disciplines offered and will advance through different levels, completing practical projects to create a personal portfolio to publish, share, or present. Each course is divided into two instances: self-learning and practical workshops. Students must choose four thematic areas and decide the order in which they take them. Surveys of TUMO graduates worldwide indicate that: 83% of students improve their academic performance in their schools. 97% master software tools. More than 80% say it helped them enter the labor market. 'This space has the capacity to promote autonomy, teamwork, and prepare them for new challenges,' said the Minister of Education of the City, Mercedes Miguel. New vacancies for adolescents are enabled each month and registrations are open at www.tumo.ar where the available disciplines, study methodology, and all the necessary information can be consulted. Classes are free and not mandatory, aimed at young people between 12 and 18 years who attend schools in the City of Buenos Aires or reside in it. What can you study at TUMO? Creators can choose from the following disciplines: robotics, programming, graphic design, animation, film production, 3D modeling, music, and video game development, thus creating their own learning path based on their interests and needs. The workshops are in charge of leaders who will guide young people in the different disciplines. At the CMD, as well as in the upcoming locations, classes are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8 am to 8 pm. 'TUMO Buenos Aires represents a new way of learning in which each student can discover their vocation through creativity and technology.'
